Yum Yum Caramello!

Yes, I am so cute that I am actually yummy! I am a 4 mos. old female Collie/Golden Retriever mix and I’m the color of caramel…..so that’s why the Shelter named me after a scrumptious candy bar. I am a big ball of soft, soft fur and just adorable all over. I love to play and am really good with kids and other animals. I was brought to the Shelter with my momma because my family had too many dogs. Momma and I were chosen as the ones to get rid of. I’m OK with that because that means I will get a new family that will love me forever! You are coming to get me aren’t you?

I Need A Name And A Home!

Check me out! See the guy holding me? His name is Donald and he came to visit me this week along with several others from McLarney Manor. He really liked me and wanted to take me home with him but, of course, he couldn’t. I understand that. I sure enjoyed sitting on his lap and I’m still basically a puppy as the Shelter thinks I’m barely a year old. I was found dumped outside of the Shelter this week and the nice people there took me in. I will most likely be a small to medium sized dog and am a Terrier mix. I’m marked a lot like a Min Pin but no one knows for sure what I’m made of except a lot of love. I’d like to share some of that love with YOU!

Oh yes, I’m supposed to tell you that little Hank from last week’s Pet of the Week got adopted this week. He’s going to be a trucker! Isn’t that the coolest ever!

Hello to Maci Jo!

Hey everyone! Just so you know, you are going to fall in love with me the first time you see me. I am a 9 mos. old female Sheagle! Sheagle, you say? Yes, I am a mix between a Shitzu and a Beagle and I am adorable…as you can see from my picture. But that’s not all! I am housebroken, up to date on my shots, walk on a leash, mostly an indoor pet but love the outdoors, too, AND I love to play! I’m a little aggressive toward other dogs and prefer older kids as the little ones make me nervous. I’m not very big, you know! Anyway, I’m ready for my new forever home and hope that you have room in yours for me.

Any of our animals can be seen at the Shelter Tuesday through Friday from 12 – 4pm, Saturday from 11am-4pm. Closed Sundays, Mondays, and all holidays. Adopting Miss Daisy!

Daisy is my name! I am a Shitzu/Maltese mix. I am 8 yrs. Old and my family gave me up because I was jealous of the new grandbaby. I’m really quite sweet….I am just a little territorial. I am spayed, house broken, leash trained, and live indoors but I like to be outdoors, too. I am also up on all of my shots! I’m ready to go to my new forever home and start a new life. Oh yes….I get along fine with other dogs. My former owners said I was territorial with their cat and that I would get along better in a home with adults and older children. I guess that’s about it. Beside the fact that I’m adorable……I’m also ready to love again.

Any of our animals can be seen at the Shelter Tuesday through Friday from 12 – 4pm, Saturday from 11am-4pm. Closed Sundays, Mondays, and all holidays. Holly

Say Hello to Holly!

I am so excited to be in the paper this week! I came to the Shelter as a puppy and was adopted by a nice family. However, I am a little rambunctious and was too much energy for their young children. I am a Boxer/Husky mix and I am 6 mos. old. I have the most gorgeous blue eyes you have ever seen and the most amazing puppy kisses. I also am housebroken, sit on command, respond to down on command, am crate trained and leash trained. See….aren’t I amazing! I would get along better with adults and older children because of all of my energy. I think the perfect family is out there for me. I’ll wait here until you come and get me.

Sweet Bella!

Hello everyone! My name is Bella and I am a 6 mos. old Lab mix who was adopted from the Shelter a couple of months ago. I need a little work on the housetraining but I have been living in the house. I am leash trained and crate trained and I am both dog and people friendly. I am also completely vetted except I do need to be spayed. I’m really ready for a new forever home and I promise to be a good girl if you’ll just give me a second chance.

Hello Charlie!

Wow! Am I ready for a new home or what? I am a 6 mos. old male Wire Haired Terrier mix. My family had to surrender me to the Shelter because they were living in a place that did not allow pets. So….here I am! ….. displaced and needing a new forever home. I am full of energy and love to sit on your lap and be petted. I am a little shy around men and kids have to give me time to warm up. Actually, I kinda need time to warm up to most everyone BUT once I do…..I love you forever. I have the cutest tufts of hair on my ears. I think you will fall in love with me if you give me a chance.

Lil’ Izzy!

I hope I didn’t miss my chance! I was at the Orscheln’s Adopt-A-Pet day last Saturday and I was the only dog there that didn’t get adopted. Please tell me that there is someone out there who would love and care for me? I am a female Lab mix and I’m about 14 wks. old. One of my eyes is the most beautiful blue! I was found running loose in Marceline and no one has come looking for me. I guess I’ve been unwanted twice now. I know the family for me is out there somewhere. I’ll be patient!

“Lola Moon”

Hey everyone! My name is Lola and I am a 10 mo. old Lab/ Blue Heeler mix. I’ve been living in Marceline with my person but she is sick and had to go back to Colorado to be close to her doctors. No one in the family could take me and care for me so I guess I am looking for a new forever home. I’m pretty special as I am housebroken but also like to be outside. I am leash trained, don’t dig or jump fences, and I’m not aggressive. I’m a good car rider, too, and I get along with kids and other animals just fine. CHUBS

I’m not chubby but they call me Chubs anyway. I guess that’s OK! I am a one year old male Beagle mix. I came to live at the Shelter because my owner lost his job and couldn’t afford to keep me anymore. Isn’t that a sad story? So I’m homeless and temporarily living at the Shelter until they can find me a new forever home. I am an outside dog and I get along great with kids and even cats. I’m also leash trained and I’m not a digger or a barker. Isn’t that great! I think I’m the dog for you and your family. Come and get me!

“SNOWBALL”

I am a male Spitz mix that’s approximately 8-12 wks. old. I was found on Hwy 11 north. I’m a great big ball of white fluffiness and I have the best puppy kisses. I guess I’m not going to get my Christmas wish for a forever home as it’s the end of the week, Christmas is over, and I’m still here at the Shelter. Oh well….maybe I can be your New Year puppy! I’ll save some puppy kisses until you come and take me home with you.

“Bonnie” Wants a Forever Home for Christmas!

I’m just a little thing and when someone just left me on the highway in front of the Shelter I was really, really scared. I’m still pretty timid even though I’m safe inside the Shelter now. They say I’m really sweet and that I’m a Pointer mix and about 4 mos. old. I’m really trying to make people like me as I would really like a family to love. That’s my Christmas wish!

The Shelter also has two male Pug mixes and several different age Lab mix puppies.

Mr. Blue Eyes!

Hey guys! My name is Kiki. I am a 9 mos. old male Bluepoint/Persian and I am gorgeous if I say so myself. My eyes are ice blue and my all white fur is long, soft, and well cared for. I’m also micro chipped! I came from Indiana with my owner and when we got here, her landlord said I wasn’t welcome. We both cried when she left me at the Shelter. I’m needing a new forever home but a home with no dogs (I’m scared of dogs) and no little children (they make me really nervous). I’m also an inside cat. No outside for this beautiful coat of mine! I hope you’re out there somewhere just waiting for me because I’m waiting for you….. A new forever home is all I want for Christmas.

All I want for Christmas is a FOREVER Home!

I am a female Lab mix about 6 mos. old. I was found at the Brookfield City Lake. It appears that I don’t have a family or a home. I’m on the small side so I won’t be a very big dog when I grow up. The people that found me and brought me to the Shelter said that I’m real good around children and other animals. Don’t I sound perfect! I hope I get the present I want for Christmas….

We are identical in looks and we are 2 years old….the perfect age to join your family. We both like kids and get along fine with other animals. Adorable Puppies!

There are four of us…..one of us has a new home already. Someone found us in a woodpile in Brookfield about two weeks ago. We are just now 8 wks. old. Border Collie mix….two males, one female. We are very, very sweet and extremely laid back. Don’t you think we deserve a chance to have a loving home and family? Come hold us and fall in love.

We did get dogs out last week to rescue but we got an additional 17 brought in so we are still very, very full. We acquired 10 wk. old Lab puppies. Very nice dogs. Cats and kittens are soon going to have to be downsized if we don’t get some adopted. Help us out if you can and save a life.

I came to the Shelter when I was 9 wks. old and I am now 4mos. old. I am a Lab/Boxer mix and they call me Missy. I’m ready for my new forever home. Are you coming?

“Tank”

Yep…that’s me! I’m a 6 mos. old female Rottweiler mix that has been spayed and housebroken. I’m full of energy and playful fun. See my picture?…I love to play tug of war. I really am a sweetheart! I ride well in a car and get along with other animals and all kinds of people. I was just a little too rambunctious for the 8 mos. old baby in my family so that’s why I’m here at the Shelter now. I’m also up to date on my shots. The only thing I need right now is YOU and a new forever home.

Big Boy “Sonny”!

I am a big boy. I am a 5 year old yellow Tabby and I am neutered. I was abandoned by my family who raised me from a kitten because their new rental wouldn’t allow pets. I know my family was upset, but what about me? I’m scared, confused, and in need of some stability in my life. If you would take a chance on me, I promise that I will be the best cat ever. I must tell you that I have always lived inside and I really don’t like other cats very well. What do you think? Do you want me? I sure need YOU.

“Snickers”

Am I the dog for you! I am a spayed female Brittney Spaniel mix. I am only 1 year old, current on my shots, love kids and other dogs, and they tell me I am really smart. I already sit on command and I don’t jump up on people. I’m very calm, sweet, and gentle. My previous owner couldn’t keep me on a chain so I really need a home where I can run free. The Shelter also thinks that I might already be housebroken because I won’t potty in my kennel! I’m also one of the dogs that have been discounted ($50) through this weekend. There are just a lot of wonderful things about me!

We still have several cats and a few dogs that have been fixed and we are adopting them at a reduced rate through this weekend. Come and check out our amazing animals!

Sweet Little Tabby!

They call me a “stray”. I think that means I was dumped and have no family. I am a neutered male about 3 years old. I am very shy but really sweet once I get to know you. I just need time to learn to trust and realize that someone really is going to take care of me and love me. Right now…thanks to some wonderful vet students…the Shelter is having a “Dogs (Cats) of Summer Deals”. We have several cats and a few dogs that have been fixed and we are adopting them at a reduced rate. A neutered/spayed dog can be adopted for a discounted rate of $50 and all of our fixed cats can be adopted for $10, including our featured cat for this week’s Pet of the Week. This is a huge money saving opportunity for those who have been wanting to adopt a pet. Come and check out our amazing animals!

Any of our animals can be seen at the Shelter Tuesday through Friday from 12 - 4pm, Saturday from 11am-4pm. Closed Sundays, Mondays, and all holidays. Visit our website www.linncountyhumanesociety.org and/or our Facebook page for additional amazing dogs, cats, and success stories. Call 660-258-3322 to talk to someone at the Shelter. Say Hello to Puddles…..

Hi folks! I am a little sad because they just told me that I am number one on the list to wear out my welcome here at the Shelter. I’ve been here since April and I really need a new home….badly. I am a male Lab/Beagle mix. I am 1 ½ years old and my previous owner told the Shelter that I was housebroken and leash trained. I am OK with older kids and would really get along better in a household with no other pets. I have lots of energy and I love to play outside. I just need a second chance at a new life…..anyone?

The Shelter has several adult cats that are neutered/spayed and ready for new homes. We also have several really adorable kittens!

Scooter!

Hi! My name is Scooter and I am a 4 mos. old male Beagle/Hound mix. I was brought to the Shelter recently with another dog who lived with me because……well, I don’t really know why. I guess they just didn’t want me anymore. I am soooo sweet, get along with kids and other animals, and I’m not aggressive. I have been an outdoor dog. Everyone is really nice to me here at the Shelter but I would sure like to find a new home and a new family to love.

The Shelter has several puppies right now that are needing new homes. EVERY day is a good day to adopt but right now is an especially good time. Any of our animals can be seen at the Shelter Tuesday through Friday from 12 - 4pm, Saturday from 11am-4pm. Closed Sundays, Mondays, and all holidays. Miss Personality!

My name is Jersey and I am a 1 ½ year old female Boston Terrier Mix. My former family brought me to the Shelter because they couldn’t afford to keep me anymore.
I am a sweet girl with lots of personality but the best thing about me is that I am already housebroken! That makes me extra special wonderful! I am also leash trained and good with kids so come and check me out and take me home with you….furrever!
