  I had been wanting a dog since we lost ours when we moved here, so my husband said to go and look at a Little dog that had been in the paper from the Linn County Humane Society, so I sent my son Richard to look at it, because I new whatever I saw I would want. Well the dog that was in the paper was already gone, but my son saw Sparky (then Spike, he didn't look like a Spike to me) and really liked him. He came back and said I really needed to go and look at the little white dog that was there. I really liked him. I took him for a walk out side and then for a car ride out to our farm to see how he traveled and if he liked it out there and to meet my husband and he really liked him. Then I took him to the Bookstore to see if he liked it there. Then he and I just fell in love with each other through all of this, so I went back and said I wanted him. Sparky comes to work with me everyday and greets people at the door and makes them feel welcome. The people that come in to the store just love him because he is so friendly and doesn't bark at them.
